Fix Roof Hole

Plug pinholes with roofing cement and patch holes up to about 3 4 inch in diameter with a patch from the same material as the flashing.

Small holes or corroded spots in flashing can be easily repaired. First roughen the area around the hole with a wire brush or sandpaper and then clean it. Fold a 4 by 2 inch piece of felt in half making a 2 by 2 inch square. Once you ve found the leak you can make a temporary leak patch from some plywood or shingle and some roofing tar.
